Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine invites applications and nominations for a full time position as Chair and Program Director of the Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The responsibilities include strategic planning, resource management, fostering development of junior faculty and continuing implementation and integration of the competency-based comprehensive oral healthcare philosophy in the curriculum. The successful applicant is expected to take a strong leadership role in the department’s didactic teaching, clinical, research and service missions at both the pre- and post-doctoral levels. Among the major qualifications for this position is a DMD/DDS degree from an accredited program or equivalent, Postdoctoral training in Orthodontics from an accredited program, and Certification by the American Board of Orthodontics. The applicant must be eligible for dental licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Graduate training in Education is preferred along with a record of significant research, academic achievement, and successful experience in clinical management.
