The Medical Student Summer Research Program (MSSRP) provides mentored research experiences for BU Chobanian & Avedisian SOM medical students during the summer between the first and second years of medical school.

The LEADS-Research track & Longitudinal Research Programs facilitate mentored, research opportunities and training for medical students. Students will undertake multi-year research projects with BU and BMC faculty guided by a small research advisory committee.

The Medical Student Research Year program is for students who want to undertake a full year of intensive mentored research as part of their medical education. The research usually occurs between years 2-3 or 3-4.

The M3 selective and M4 research electives are mentored activities in which medical students study a scientific or educational question in biomedical science for the purpose of furthering knowledge.
